Medical and Dental Animation

3D animation can illustrate medical devices and equipment that could not be easily shown through conventional video. This ocular telescope, for example, is an implant that fits into the lens of the eye. It was developed to help patients, with macular degeneration, to be able to see, by spreading the incoming light onto the portions of the retina that still remain healthy.

For the “Success in Endodontics” training program multiple teeth were recreated in 3D in order to show some of the odd configurations of root structures that must be removed during the process of performing a root canal. The 3D tooth models were also used to show the specific tools, and step by step, procedures used for each of the various types teeth.
